Seventeen districts under orange alert in Telangana, yellow for 16

The 33 districts of Telangana are either under orange or yellow alert for rainfall on Saturday.

The 33 districts of Telangana are either under orange or yellow alert for rainfall on Saturday.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely in 17 districts of Telangana on Saturday (September 27, 2025). And the remaining 16 districts may receive heavy rainfall, according to India Meteorological Department’s weather bulletin issued on Friday. 

17 districts under orange alert

The orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall was issued for isolated places in Nirmal, Nizamabad, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.

16 districts under yellow alert

The 16 districts under yellow alert for heavy rainfall are Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad and Medchal-Malkajigiri districts.

Hyderabad weather forecast

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas may receive moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds (40-50 kmph) over the next 48 hours, according to the bulletin issued on Friday afternoon. 

Till 5 p.m. on Friday, the highest rainfall of 104.3 mm was recorded in Shabad of Rangareddy.
