SCR registers ₹10,143-crore revenue till Sept. end

South Central Railway (SCR) registered its best-ever performance in both freight and passenger segments during the first six months of the current financial year (2025-26), registering ₹10,143 crore of gross originating revenue during the period from April to September, which is 1.7% more than the previous best of ₹9,966 crore registered during 2024-25.

This has been backed up by originating passenger revenue of ₹2,991 crore, which is 2.8% more than last year’s ₹2,909 crore. The freight revenue has been ₹6,635 crore during this period. Similarly, the zone has achieved highest ever freight loading of 71.14 million tonnes, 6% higher than the previous best of 67 MTs loaded in 2024-25, said a press release.
