SCR medical officers observe world breast cancer awareness month

Doctors of Divisional Railway Hospital, South Central Railway (SCR), Vijayawada, conducted a special awareness programme on Friday (October 31, 2025), on prevention of breast cancer, on the concluding day of ‘World Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ from October 1 to 31.

Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr. A.V.S.K. Prasad, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent (Health and Family Welfare) Dr. M. Jaideep and Consultant medical ongologist Dr. K. Lakshmi Priyadarshini participated in the awareness programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the CMS appealed to the women aged 40 years and above, to undergo periodical health check up to prevent breast cancer. Dr. Jaideep said that early detection is the key for effective treatment and awareness is the first step to save lives.
