SCR GM highlights safety protocols at level crossings

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava has advised the officials and staff to strictly maintain the safety protocols at all the level crossing gates to ensure the safety of road traffic and safety in train operations.

At the weekly safety meeting held at the Rail Nilayam here on Monday, which was attended by senior officials, he called for strictly adhering to the safety protocols at all the non-interlocking gates and reviewed on plan of action on the conversions to locked level crossings.

The ongoing works at road under/over bridges has to be expedited and sufficient quantity of fog devices, electrical, signal equipment should be available on track side. Works related to private sidings, extension of loop lines, provision of additional stabling lines at all the important stations, construction of extension works related to station buildings, etec, were also reviewed, said a press release.
