South Coast Railway (SCoR) General Manager Sandeep Mathur on Sunday (September 27, 2026) inspected Rayanapadu wagon workshop and reviewed its overall functioning and operational efficiency.
The GM, along with Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer Amit Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakiya, Chief Workshop Manager M. Trinadha Kumar, inspected critical maintenance bays, periodic overhaul (POH) lines, assembly sections, and the wheel and bogie shops in the workshop, at Vijayawada.
Mr. Mathur evaluated the current productivity, reviewed developmental roadmaps, and upcoming infrastructure augmentation plans and took stock of safety measures in the workshop. He commissioned Cartridge Tapered Roller Bearing (CTRB) overhauling section and CNC air plasma cutting machine, on the occasion.
Later, he planted saplings on the workshop premises as part of the ongoing nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva” programme.
