A science fair organised on the campus of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya campus here on Thursday (February 19) saw over 150 exhibits by students covering various topics in physics, chemistry, biodiversity and scientific inventions.

The exhibition was organised to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by eminent scientist Sir C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928. The country celebrates the day as National Science Day.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra director N. Satyanarayana Raju, who inspected the exhibits and interacted with the students, lauded the scientific temper in them.

He recalled the Bhavan’s sustained focus on scientific and technological advancements, besides nurturing spiritual and cultural values.

Principal D. Padmaja lauded the science department for conducting the event. Earlier, faculty members led by Mr. Raju paid floral tributes to a portrait of Sir C.V. Raman.
