In a move aimed at improving urban transport infrastructure, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and IT & BT Priyank Kharge, who also served as the district in charge Minister for Kalaburagi, held a review meeting with senior officials in Bengaluru to discuss the construction of a state-of-the-art satellite bus terminal in Kalaburagi city.

The Minister said that a modern, well-equipped satellite bus station would help decongest traffic and support the city’s growing development needs. He noted that two to three potential sites have already been identified for the project and directed officials to submit detailed proposals for the most suitable location.

“The proposed satellite bus terminal will accelerate the growth trajectory of Kalaburagi, which is emerging as an important urban centre in the Kalyana Karnataka region,” Mr. Kharge observed.

The meeting was attended by Kalaburagi South MLA Allamprabhu Patil, Higher Education Department Secretary Khushboo Goyal Choudhary, and senior officials from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry departments and Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC).
