The Kadugodi police on January 18 arrested a 25-year-old habitual offender in connection with a road rage incident in Bengaluru after a video showing him brandishing a dagger went viral on social media.
A case was registered at Kadugodi Police Station on January 17 following the circulation of the video, which raised concern among people. The police traced and arrested the accused on January 18.
The accused has been identified as Sayed Arbaz Khan, 25. He is employed at a fish seller’s shop at Kanakanagara in R.T. Nagar, Bengaluru.
Police investigations revealed that Arbaz Khan is a habitual offender and has been previously involved in multiple criminal cases registered at different police stations in Bengaluru.
The police have seized the weapon used in the incident. Officials stated that strict action will be taken against those who threaten public safety and misuse social media to spread fear.
