Hyderabad

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy targeted BRS leader T. Harish Rao, asserting that the establishment of the oil palm processing factory in Siddipet was aimed at benefiting farmers and not any particular MLA.

Addressing a public gathering on Sunday, he observed that for several years, Siddipet constituency had been represented by members of a single family, and urged voters to give an opportunity to others.

He made a significant political announcement stating that Siddipet would see a Congress MLA in the next Assembly elections, and would be made a Minister. “My Cabinet colleagues G. Vivek and Damodar Rajanarasimha would take that responsibility.”

Dismissing the allegations of discrimination in fund distribution, he maintained that his government does not practice bias. “I do not discriminate. We work for the poor, not for political leaders. If there is a need to discuss discrimination, a comparison should first be made on how much funds were allocated to Kodangal in the past,” he remarked.
