A study reveals that the mangrove ecosystem of Pichavaram is experiencing “high contamination” of microplastics in fish and shellfish, raising ecological risks in the region.

The research, conducted by Bharathidasan University and published in Chemosphere, examines seasonal patterns of microplastic ingestion in aquatic species.
