The Hindu Group’s annual realty exposition, Living Spaces-2026, was inaugurated by Minister for Transport and Muzrai Ramalinga Reddy here on Saturday.

After the official opening of the property exhibition, the Minister took a tour of the stalls where several property developers showcased over 200 real estate projects that are coming up in all zones (especially South and North) of Bengaluru. The Minister also had brief conversations with some of the industry players who are participating in the expo, brought by Vaishnavi Group and jointly powered by the Bangalore Development Authority and ORCHIDS The International School.

Holistic connection

Living Spaces-2026 brought together leading real estate developers, investors, banks, financial institutions, turnkey builders, and construction material providers to offer prospective home buyers a holistic connection to all ecosystem players. The expo features a wide range of offerings, including apartments, plots, villas, farmland, and housing loan facilities from various banks, including IDBI.

According to Vaishnavi Group’s Amit Bharadwaj, senior manager sales, and Praveen Reddy, project head, the group has completed 40 projects already, including 18 home projects, with Vaishnavi AT-One Krishna Brindavan, a twin tower, with 359 luxury 3 and 4 BHK homes coming up on a 5-acre land in Banashankari 2nd stage.

In luxury space

Amberstone Properties has five new projects coming up, including three in South Bengaluru. “We are concentrating on the luxury space. We are collecting expressions of interest from potential home buyers for two projects codenamed Sleek, off Sarjapur Road, and Lake One in J.P. Nagar,” said Shwetha H.G., GM, Marketing, at Amberstone Properties.

“We are currently in the middle of a transition from the premium market to the luxury segment. Our transition seems quite smooth for us as home buyers are increasingly looking at exclusive, more spacious and luxury living spaces today,’’ said Aishwarya Naik, sales manager (South) at Amberstone Properties, responding to a query on new trends.

Rashid Khan, deputy sales manager of SBR Group, said more buyers were looking at large quality living spaces and therefore price points were also on the rise. The group currently has five ongoing projects, including SBR One Residence, coming at Hopefarm in Whitefield, whose first phase would have over 930 homes, while more newer projects were in the pipeline, said Jyotish Reddy, head, channels/sales at SBR Group.

Abbas Mirza, channel sales manager at DS Max, said, “After the pandemic, homes that were available in the ₹40 lakh to ₹50 lakh are now in the ₹80 lakh to ₹85 lakh range.’’ DS Max has over 15 projects across all zones.

Spokespersons of another developer, Living Walls, said the realtor has a lot of focus on North of Bengaluru as the region has been witnessing quantum growth thanks to proximity to the airport, highways, ring road and industrial areas. The developer also has a clubhouse, In The Hills, coming up in Chikkamagaluru.

Home loans

Vavitha Vijayan, a senior official at IDBI Bank, said the bank reported a loan book size of ₹1.03 lakh crore as on December 31, 2025, a 12% year-on-year growth. Of this home, pan India, was ₹72,000 crore, Mumbai accounted for the major chunk of these loans followed by Bengaluru with a share of ₹13,000 core, Ms. Vijayan added, indicating a significant uptick in home sales in the city.

The expo at Chandra Sagara Convention Hall concludes at Jayanagar, near Ashoka Pillar, on Sunday.
