PMK founder S. Ramadoss, along with his elder daughter P. Gandhimathi, participated in the party’s Krishnagiri West district general council meeting held on Sunday. Ms. Gandhimathi was recently placed in the forefront by Dr. Ramadoss, who has fallen out with his son Anbumani Ramadoss.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Gandhimathi hailed her father for his hard work and ‘sacrifice’. “With the same zeal as in the past, he is working for the people and it is the duty of all to be behind him. Not only as a daughter, I want to be one of the lakhs of PMK cadre. The PMK, led by Dr. Ramadoss, will fight with great force. The PMK alone is able to put pressure on the Centre and the State to conduct caste census. We will fight under the single leadership of Dr. Ramadoss to achieve our goals,” she added.

Dr. Ramadoss claimed that the PMK was instrumental in the bifurcation of Krishnagiri district from Dharmapuri district [over 20 years ago]. All community people and multi-language-speaking people are living in this district. The literacy rate in Krishnagiri is low, and in the coming days, it should be increased.

“My daughter Gandhimathi’s debut speech is good,” he added.
