Heavy rain resumed in various parts of Hyderabad on Monday (September 22, 2025) late afternoon, just ahead of the evening rush hour. This led to traffic snarls on arterial roads with traffic police issuing advisory about waterlogging and gridlocks in various locations.
From morning to 4.00 p.m. rain was recorded in Ameerpet, Khairatabad, Alwal and Kapra, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society. However, people in other parts reported rain later.
India Meteorological Department issued a weather alert around 4.30 p.m., predicting moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers likely in some parts of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area during the next two to three hours.
