Names of many prominent leaders are doing the rounds for the post amid the buzz that an Other Backward Class (OBC) leader might be given the responsibility. The names of Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhury, former Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, are among those doing the rounds in political circles. The new president is likely to lead the party organisationally in the 2027 Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
