The Kumbalgodu police have arrested a 25-year-old private firm employee under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in his apartment.
According to the police, the incident occurred last Wednesday and came to light when the girl informed her mother about the harassment by the accused, Aryan Kumar.
After her parents checked the apartment’s CCTV footage, which reportedly confirmed the accused’s actions, they filed a complaint with the police.
The police registered an FIR and Aryan was arrested the same evening. He was produced in court and is currently in judicial custody.
