Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Vilayath Buddha’ set to release on November 21

Vilayath Buddha, headlined by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is set to release worldwide on November 21. The movie, directed by debutant Jayan Nambiar, is produced by Sandeep Senan under the banner of Urvashi Theatres.

The film, starring Priyamvada Krishnan as the female lead, is based on the eponymous novel written by GR Indugopan.

Prithviraj plays a sandalwood smuggler named Double Mohan in the thriller set in Marayoor, Idukki, known for high-quality sandalwood.

The film features Shammi Thilakan, Anu Mohan, Rajashri Nair, and TJ Arunachalam in prominent roles.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT

The cinematography is handled by Renadive and Arvind Kashyap. The screenplay is written by G. R. Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan. The film is co-produced by A. V. Anoop for AVA Productions.

Jakes Bejoy is the music director of Vilayath Buddha.

Director Jayan Nambiar was an associate of late writer-director Sachy, who was supposed to direct the film. He was the chief associate director of films such as Bro Daddy, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Mariyam Vannu Vilakkoothi, and Lucifer, among others.

Prithviraj was last seen on the big screen inL2: Empuraan. He was also seen in the Hindi movie Sarzameen, starring Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan, streaming on JioHotstar. Priyamvada’s last outing was Narivetta.
