The old students of Presentation Higher Secondary School at Perinthalmanna will regroup on the campus to celebrate the school’s golden jubilee on Saturday (September 27, 2025).

The ‘Golden Alumni, Golden Legacy’ reunion is set to welcome back students from the past five decades, uniting generations of alumni at their beloved alma mater.

The event will feature nostalgic sessions recreating iconic spots such as “the backbench,” “under the mango tree,” and “in the assembly.” Retired teachers will be felicitated at the function.

The alumni will join hands with the school management to support the education of students orphaned in the Mundakkai–Chooralmala landslides in Wayanad.

The school has already provided financial aid to six orphaned students from Wayanad. Principal Jesmi Thomas and PTA president Amrita Santhosh recently handed over ₹3 lakh to the Wayanad Collector.

For each student, ₹50,000 will be deposited in their account, to mature when the student turns 18. School officials said the students would be able to use the matured amount for their higher education.

Headmistress Princy Jose and PTA vice-president Haseena Sadik were present. They said the school would provide financial assistance to 14 more orphaned students in Wayanad, with support from the alumni, in the next phase.
