The government will establish new schools covering nursery to class 4, providing world-class facilities and amenities, and they will set the benchmark for future expansion across the State.
These schools should be equipped with facilities on a par with corporate institutions and students would be provided milk, breakfast, and lunch, ensuring holistic care alongside education, par with any corporate private school.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who reviewed the functioning of the education department with senior officials on Friday, asserted that the government’s priority was to provide quality education to the poor. He said focus should be on the educational institutions in the core urban region within the Outer Ring Road limits, and the schools should be developed on par with corporate educational institutions. The schools should have playgrounds, classrooms and a good atmosphere.
He directed them to identify lands owned by the department for establishing the schools. Steps should be taken to shift schools without proper facilities to those with facilities in the government lands nearby.
