Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Harshavardhan Raju advised the police personnel of Prakasam district to stay alert and armed at all times to protect the lives of people and public property.
While participating in the annual firing practice at Chimakurthi Range here on Sunday, the SP urged them to maintain caution and calculation while using arms. “You are not just required to equip with the skills needed to use the arms, but also exhibit a sense of responsibility while using them, he said.
Mr. Raju also wanted the senior police officers to not trail behind in technology and arms knowledge, and get accustomed to using modern ammunition. He also announced rewards and appreciated the police personnel who excelled in the firing.
Deputy Superintendents Lakshmi Narayana (Darsi), V.V. Ramana Kumar (Women’s PS), Sai Eshwar Yashwanth (Kanigiri), G. Gurunath Babu (DTC) and K. Srinivasa Rao (Armed Reserve) took part.
