Power supply disruptions on June 22 due to KPTCL’s maintenance work

As Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has continued to take up maintenance work in various substations in Bengaluru, major residential areas, commercial areas including M.G. Road and Brigade Road especially banks and shopping centres are expected to witness power disruptions on Monday.

Due to emergency maintenance work by KPTCL in 66/11KV Mathikere substation, there will be interruption in power supply in areas including Lottegollahalli, MLA layout, J.P. Park, LIC colony, Pampa Nagara, Mathikere, 1st main road Yeshwanthapur, H.M.T. Layout, LCR school road, Gokula 1st stage, Brindavan Nagar, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Similarly, with maintenance work in 66/11 kV IISc Master Unit Sub Station, there will be interruption in power supply from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in areas including Malleshwaram, M.D. Block, Vyalikaval, Swimming Pool Extension, BHEL, IISc Brain Centre, Model Colony, Shareef nagara and  surroundings areas.

Meanwhile, LRP Office, Sobha Chrysanthemum, Jayakumar RMU, Divya Shanti, Govindapura, Karle, Brindavan Nagar, Titan Garage, Gandhinagar, Bhairavi Apartments, Hegde Nagar, Chandrika Soap Factory, BMTC Depot and surrounding areas will also have power disruption from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The areas that are fed power using 66/11KV ‘B’ Station- 20MVA Power Transformer-01 will have power disruption from 10 am to 4 pm. The affected areas include ING Vyasa Bank, Gangadhar Chetty Road, Haudin road, M V Garden, M G ROAD Public Utility building, Udani layout, Jogupalya main road, Cambridge layout, Residency Road, Museum Road, St Marks Road, Hayes Road, Convent Road, Cresent Road, MG Road, Brigade road, Gowthampura Artillery Road and surrounding areas”.

Two days power disruption

The areas connecting to 66/11 kV Soladevanahalli Master Unit Sub Station are going to witness power supply disruption for two days on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents have to gear up to face power supply disruption and prepare in advance in case of children and senior citizens at home.

It includes Tharabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, T.B. cross, Hesaraghatta, Bilijaji. Dwarakanagara, Chikkabanavara, Maruthi nagara. Ganapathi nagara, Shanthi nagara, Kalenahalli Shivakote village, Mavallipura, Kondashettihalli, Madhugirihalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, Kurubarahalli, Kumbarahalli, Silvepura, Pakegowdanapalya, Raghavendra Dhama, Byalakere, Acharya college main road, Achyuth nagara, Soladevanahalli, Sasuveghatta and other areas.
