Handlooms Minister R. Gandhi, who is reportedly sulking over the denial of an Assembly ticket from Ranipet, his home turf, has been summoned to Chennai by the DMK leadership. The party had fielded his son, Vinoth Gandhi, from the seat. DMK sources said Mr. Gandhi had been asked to go to Chennai on Monday. After meeting him, DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin would take the final decision on fielding Mr. Gandhi in his son’s place.
