Comedian Kunal Kamra has told the Bombay High Court that the Sahyog Portal, notified through a 2025 amendment to the IT Rules, has created a situation where the average policeman is directing removal of content based on what he personally finds unsuitable.

Appearing before a division bench of Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad, senior advocate N. Seervai, representing Mr. Kamra, said there were thousands of such instances.
