Five persons, including a woman and two from Lakshadweep, were arrested in two separate anti-narcotics operations in Kozhikode on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) night.

Suspected MDMA and cannabis, allegedly kept for resale, were also seized during the flash inspection led by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF).

In the first case, three persons — Amal, 30, of Beypore, Shahul Hameed, 26, of Payyanakkal, and Kamyaka Riju, 21, of Peruvannamuzhi — were arrested by a joint team of DANSAF and the Chevayur police. A flash inspection team, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdul Kareem, seized 108.28 grams of MDMA from a lodge near Iringadanpalli where the accused were staying.
