Police gets SUV from Shabari’s MPLADS funds

Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari on Thursday donated a ‘Bolero Neo’ SUV, bought using her MPLADS funds, to the Police department. Ms. Shabari flagged off the vehicle and handed it over to Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheoran at the district police office. The vehicle will be used for patrolling and to attend emergency calls. With the State government prioritising women’s safety, the vehicle will come in handy for patrolling at educational institutions, to curb eve-teasing and to attend to cases of harassment, stop child marriages and domestic violence, the police said.
