PMK founder S. Ramadoss’ personal secretary, P. Swaminathun, who filed his nomination as a candidate for the Rajya Sabha biennial elections representing the party was allegedly attacked in Chennai on Friday. Mr. Swaminathun said he was attacked on Anna Salai (Near TVS) by two men while he was returning home from the Secretariat, where the nomination papers were scrutinised.
He further said the attack resulted in injuries to his face. Blaming the rival PMK faction leaders for the attack, Mr. Swaminathun has sought protection from the Director General of Police.
