District Collector D.K. Balaji on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) issued orders invoking the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against notorious drug peddler Polana Kiran, a native of Yekamuru Katta in Thotlavalluru mandal, Krishna district. The accused was involved in eight ganja peddling cases in Krishna, Guntur, and NTR Police Commissionerate limits, and a suspect sheet was opened against Kiran in 2020. He would be sent to Rajahmundry Central Prison, said Krishna district SP V. Vidyasagar Naidu in a release on Tuesday.
