The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) unanimously approved the list of municipal election candidates recommended by the party’s Screening Committee formally clearing the way for the Congress to enter the municipal polls with its official candidates.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Pradesh Election Committee held via Zoom under the chairmanship of TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, among other senior leaders.

During the meeting, committee members held detailed discussions on strategies to be adopted for the upcoming municipal elections, including candidate selection, campaign planning and coordination at the ward level.

Ministers were asked to take responsibility of winning maximim seats in their constituencies and also the districts they were incharges of. Mr Revanth Reddy said the elections were crucial to further consolidate their strength in the State.

Later in the evening, B-Forms were distributed to the approved candidates by the incharges in their respective towns and cities.
