More than 45,000 runners participated in the 13th edition of the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon, organised by NEB Sports in association with the Karnataka Athletics Association, Wipro Bangalore and Shriram Properties on Sunday.
Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara was present at the event. While the full marathon was flagged off by Ranjita Ghosh, global chief marketing officer, Wipro Limited, fitness celebrity Mandira Bedi flagged off the half marathon. The 10K run was flagged off by MP Tejasvi Surya.

The participants ran through some of Bengaluru’s familiar landmarks, including Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park. In the full marathon, Bugatha Srinu won the men’s title, while Bhagirathi emerged winner in the women’s category.
Ankit Gupta took the top spot in the men’s category, while Sugandha Sharma finished first in the women’s category in half marathon. The 10K saw Lakshmeesha C.S. and Elina Bhatt took the men’s and women’s titles respectively.
