Leaders across the political spectrum in Andhra Pradesh extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in the State, highlighting the message of love, compassion, peace, and service taught by Jesus Christ.

Governor S. Abdul Nazeer conveyed his hearty greetings to Christians, describing it as a time of joyous remembrance of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who symbolised hope and humanity.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed the coalition government’s commitment to the welfare of minority communities. As promised, the State government released monthly honorarium payments to 8,418 Christian pastors by the evening of December 24. A total of ₹50.50 crore was credited to their accounts, covering the period from December 2024 to November 2025. Each pastor received ₹5,000 per month, amounting to ₹60,000 annually. The government also distributed Christmas gifts to pastors across the State, he said.

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy greeted the people, calling Christmas “the birth of hope,” and urged everyone to renew their commitment to serving humanity and building a brighter future.

Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Nara Lokesh said Christmas is a global festival that inspires people to follow the path of love, peace, patience, and compassion shown by Lord Jesus Christ, and called upon citizens to work for the welfare of society.

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha extended Christmas greetings, urging people to practise love and tolerance as shown by Christ and to work for the larger good of society so that the festival is celebrated joyfully and peacefully.

Andhra Pradesh Revenue, Registration and Stamps Minister Anagani Satya Prasad asserted that the coalition government is committed to protecting Christian interests while ensuring respect for all religions and welfare for all sections of society.  He also pointed out that financial assistance is being extended to Christians visiting Jerusalem and that allocations for Christmas celebrations have been increased from Rs. 30,000 per district during the previous YSRCP regime to ₹2 lakh now.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath described the life of Jesus Christ as an inspiration for humanity and said Christmas is a festival that spreads boundless happiness and compassion.

APCC president Y.S. Sharmila conveyed heartfelt Christmas wishes, praying that the blessings of Jesus Christ bring lasting happiness and peace into everyone’s lives.

CPI State Secretary Gujjala Eswarayya also extended greetings to the people of the State, describing Christmas as a symbol of mercy, love, sacrifice, patience, kindness, and friendship, and expressed hope that everyone would celebrate the festival in a joyful spirit.
