A nursing room has been launched under Project Ayushman at the city railway station.
A release said that the facility is located on platform number 2 and the objective is to provide a comfortable and private space for mothers and children. It will add to passenger convenience and care facilities at the station, the release added.
The facility was launched in coordination with Ladies Circle India and Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108, and inaugurated by MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the release said.
Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM); Shammas Hameed, Additional DRM; and others were present. Authorities said that the nursing room provides a safe, hygienic, and soothing environment for mothers to tend to their infants while waiting for trains.
