A couple, Kotikalapudi Krishna Kishore (44) and his wife K. Asha (39), natives of Palakol in West Godavari district, died in a road accident in Washington, D.C. on Sunday (January 4, 2025).

Mr. Kishore was working as a software engineer, and the family settled in the U.S. a few years ago. The couple has a son and a daughter.

The family met with a car accident while travelling on Sunday, and the couple died in the mishap. Their children suffered injuries and were said to be out of danger. The family visited their home town in West Godavari recently, locals said on Monday (January 5, 2025).

Palakol Town Circle Inspector K. Rajani Kumar said Kishna Kishore’s family was staying at Pallapuveedhi, near head post office, and their kin received information about the deaths.

Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended in Pallapuveedhi, in Palakol Town, after the news of their death reached the town.
