Amid the ongoing fuel shortage , the Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) said that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders across Hyderabad and that supplies are functioning normally.

Telangana Government too has put out a communication on Tuesday stating that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). “Refineries are operational, daily distribution continues to all districts. Avoid panic buying,” as per the communication. People were to trust only official information. In case of supply issues, people contact Civil Supplies Department on its helpline number 1967.

In a message shared on X, Sajjanar said adequate stocks are in place and distribution is proceeding smoothly throughout the city. He urged citizens not to panic or rush to fuel stations, warning that such behaviour could lead to avoidable congestion and disrupt routine supply chains.

There is no shortage of fuel or LPG cylinders in #Hyderabad. Adequate stocks are available and supply is running smoothly across the city. Citizens are requested not to panic or rush to fuel stations, as such actions may lead to unnecessary congestion and disruption.

Hyderabad…

The Hyderabad police, he added, are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted availability of fuel and cooking gas. Authorities also cautioned the public against spreading or acting on unverified information, emphasising that rumours could trigger unnecessary panic.
