In a significant move aimed at ensuring the convenience of pilgrims and streamlining the administration, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a major overhaul of the SriVani Darshan ticketing system.

The SriVani darshan tickets, hitherto issued through offline counters at Tirumala, will now be made available via a daily online current booking system on a pilot basis for a month, beginning January 9.

As part of the revised mechanism, the 800 SriVani darshan tickets issued daily through offline counters will now be migrated to the online platform.

These tickets will be released daily at 9 am and remain available until 2 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis. Devotees who successfully secure tickets must report for darshan on the same day at 4 pm.

To prevent misuse and ensure transparency, the TTD has already made Aadhaar authentication and mobile number verification mandatory during the booking.

Ticket allocation will be restricted to one family comprising up to four members (1+3).

The officials said the shift to online booking would eliminate long queues and prolonged waiting hours that devotees previously endured while at offline counters in Tirumala.

The new system will be implemented experimentally for a month, after which its effectiveness will be reviewed. The existing online advance booking facility for 500 SriVani darshan tickets per day will remain unchanged.

A comprehensive review of this advance booking system will be undertaken after three months.

Importantly, the offline current booking of 200 Srivani darshan tickets per day made available at Tirupati airport will, however, continue.
