Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) superintending engineer M. Lakshmana Rao said on Tuesday that no objections have been received regarding Retail Supply Tariffs, for which the public hearing was conducted in a hybrid format.

APEPDCL held public hearings in Tirupati, Vijayawada and Kurnool on Tuesday and invited representatives of various organisations to express their views. In Vizianagaram and other parts of the State the hearings were held through video-conference.

Mr. Lakshmana Rao along with other officials participated the public hearing remotely and got clarifications on the fixation of tariffs for 2026-27. Officials hinted at no upward revision in tariffs in the new year. They assured to listen to individual grievances and suggestions for the better performance of the APEPDCL.

Mr. Lakshmana Rao told the media that the APEPDCL has given wide publicity to the hybrid mode of public hearing to enable all individuals to air their views on electricity charges.
