Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has cautioned against speculation and ‘misreporting’ of his comments on leadership change in Karnataka. .

Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday clarified his earlier remarks on the leadership issue in Karnataka, stating that no decision has been taken so far on a change of Chief Minister and cautioning against speculation and “misreporting” of his comments.

Interacting with presspersons at his residence in Kalaburagi, Mr. Kharge said that discussions on any leadership change would be taken collectively by the party leadership at the appropriate time. “There is no date fixed to discuss the issue. Without fixing the time, how can I say whether there will be a change or not?” he asked.
