NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) has secured the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation for its Centre for Applied Research and Development (CARD) laboratories.

According to NLCIL, the renewed accreditation is valid till January 2030 and covers 115 testing parameters across the disciplines of mechanical, chemical, and biological testing. The accreditation encompassing CARD’s key laboratories includes air quality testing, water and effluent quality testing, soil testing, microbiology, fuel quality testing, and general analytical testing among others.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation ensures that CARD’s testing systems adhere to internationally recognised benchmarks in laboratory management, reliability of results, and traceability.

The NLCIL said the accreditation enhances the company’s capability to support its mining, thermal power, and renewable energy operations through reliable in-house testing and R&D excellence.
