The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel on Thursday seized nine red sanders logs and arrested a person who was allegedly trying to smuggle them at a forest location near Pullampet of Rajampeta division in Annamayya district.
The operation was led by RSASTF personnel following reliable information about smuggling activity in the forest beat abutting Pullampet. The raid party conducted combing operations in the forest area near Reddipalli tank bund.
The search led to the arrest of an operative, a native of Pullampet, and seizure of logs at a forest location. The accused was taken to the task force police station in Tirupati, and was produced before the area court, which remanded him.
