Mysuru district in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa on Saturday inspected the construction of the new bus stand at Bannimantap, which is coming up at a cost of ₹120 crore.
During his visit to the project site, the Minister, accompanied by Tanveer Sait, MLA, was informed that around 30% of the civil work has been completed. The Minister directed officials to complete the project by March 2027 while maintaining high construction standards.
Divisional Controller Srinivas of KSRTC rural division, who was present, briefed the Minister on the project and flagged the growing traffic congestion on Bannimantap Road. He stressed the need for a separate 100-foot-wide road for the smooth entry and exit of KSRTC buses.
Responding to the request, the Minister said that all the necessary infrastructure for the bus stand would be provided. He also directed officials to prepare a detailed plan and submit a proposal for the construction of the 100-foot road.
Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikant Reddy and other officials were present.
