As part of preparations for observing the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 across Indian Railways from October 27 to November 2, the Solapur Division of Central Railway, in association with the Vigilance Department, Headquarters, Mumbai, organised a seminar on the theme, Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility, recently.

Addressing a gathering, Senior Deputy General Manager, Headquarters, Central Railway, Neeraj Kumar Dohare stressed the need for maintaining personal and professional integrity, adherence to rules and commitment to transparency.

He also guided participants on Railway codes and practices essential for vigilance in day-to-day functioning.

Deputy Chief Vigilance Officers from different departments presented detailed insights into steps taken to curb corruption in the Railways. They highlighted case studies and urged officers to adopt a corruption-free, integrity-driven work culture.

To engage employees, a quiz competition on the Railway Code of Conduct was organised, with winners receiving prizes in recognition of their awareness and knowledge.

The seminar was attended by Chief Project Manager, Solapur Division, Shailendra Singh Parihar, along with senior Vigilance officers from headquarters, including Pradeep Hirde (Traffic), Chandrakant Kadam (Accounts and Personnel), Sunil Kumar Bairwa (Electrical) and Amit Joshi (Stores and Mechanical).

Chief Vigilance Inspectors from various departments of headquarters as well as branch officers and inspectors of Solapur Division also participated.

Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Solapur, Anshumali Kumar, in his vote of thanks, lauded the efforts of the Vigilance Department and called upon staff members to treat vigilance as a collective responsibility.

The programme was coordinated by Senior Divisional Finance Manager Aditya Tripathi and organised by the Personnel Department led by Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Machhindra Galve.

Public Relation Inspector of Solapur Division S. Vikram and other senior functionaries were present.
