A two-day National Workshop on Seafood Exports will be held in Visakhapatnam on June 5 and 6 under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the event and issued orders outlining responsibilities for various departments. The workshop is expected to bring together Union Ministers, representatives of States and Union Territories, seafood exporters, export promotion agencies, startups and representatives of fisheries research institutions under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Union Ministers Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Piyush Goyal, Chirag Paswan and Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, along with State Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, are expected to attend the inaugural session.

The Collector has instructed officials to coordinate arrangements relating to transport, security, protocol, accommodation, medical services and sanitation to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
