Civil Supplies Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar said that the membership registration drive should be taken up with a proper plan in every constituency to instil confidence among grassroots workers.

Participating as chief guest in the launch of the membership drive, organised by the party’s Vijayawada Parliament in-charge Ammisetty Vasu, in the city on Thursday, Mr. Nadendla Manohar said more efforts should be made to identify leaders at the village level.

He noted that the membership registration was increasing every year, and this reflected the increasing strength of the party. He cited the example of Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district, where the membership registrations were initially few and crossed 10,000 by the fourth phase. Responding to the call given by party president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, many youth from middle class families have shown interest in enrolling for the membership, Mr. Nadendla Manohar said.

Addressing the gathering, the leader asked them to take steps towards increasing the members in the party, and added that the membership registration drive should be expanded with new targets.
