Mobile passport services launched at Press Club Hyderabad

In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the city, a Mobile Passport Seva Kendra was at the Press Club Hyderabad to facilitate passport services for journalists and their family members.

Snehaja Jonnalagadda, Regional Passport Officer (RPO), Hyderabad, inaugurated the passport mela and said mobile passport services were being provided directly at the Press Club premises for the convenience of journalists. She added that the Hyderabad Regional Passport Office would adopt a proactive approach in issuing emergency passports for journalists whenever required.

She said the Regional Passport Office had introduced a faster and more streamlined process for passport issuance. She assured that the Mobile Passport Seva Kendra would continue functioning at the Press Club until all passport applications were fully processed.

S. Vijay Kumar Reddy, president and Ramesh Varikuppala, general secretary, thanked Ms Sneha for setting up the special mobile service centre. Regional Passport Seva Project Head Ch. Lakshminarayana, Cluster Head, Dinesh Kumar were present. On the first day, passport applications for 40 journalists and their family members were processed successfully.
