The Miss World Organisation announced on March 25, 2026, that the 73rd edition of the pageant would be held in Vietnam. India’s Manushi Chhillar won the Miss World title in 2017, and now all eyes are on Nikita Porwal.
Who is Nikita Porwal?
Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Nikita rose to prominence after winning the Femina Miss India World crown in 2024. Before entering the world of beauty pageants, she completed her graduation from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
Subsequently, she began her career as a television anchor and later worked in theatre. Nikita also aspires to work in films; she dreams of collaborating with directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Nikita travelled to Vietnam earlier this month to prepare for this prestigious international pageant, representing India across various events. For the Miss World ‘Dances of the World’ segment, she dazzled in a stunning black and gold royal ensemble.

She wore a sculpted blouse adorned with a delicate gold body chain, paired with a multi-coloured draped skirt. She completed her look with traditional gold jewellery, including a maang-tikka, large earrings, multiple bangles, armlets, a waist belt, and anklets.
