Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Kolusu Parthasarathi inaugurated a series of development works at Nuzvid District High School (Girls) and High School Plus on Friday, where he attended the Mega Parents-Teachers 3.0 programme as the chief guest.
He opened a girls’ library, chemistry, biology and science laboratories, playgrounds and other amenities constructed with ₹97.40 lakh under the PYMS HRI funds, and unveiled commemorative plaques.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister underlined the crucial role of youth in national development and recalled that under the Mother’s Salutation initiative last year, 67.5 lakh students received educational support worth ₹10,000 crore.
He said the Mega Parents-Teachers Meets provide a strong foundation for students’ bright futures and reiterated that education should remain non-political. He emphasised the need to instil moral values and respect for women from an early age, discourage child marriages, and ensure teachers focus on academics, sports, and ethics.
The Minister announced that Student-Friendly Kits will be distributed to students from Classes 1 to 12 under the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan initiative and noted that 16,347 teachers have been recruited to strengthen the education system across the State.
Sub-Collector Bollipalli Vinutha, DYO P. S. Sudhakar, Tahsildar G. Badru, municipal officials, school principals, teachers, parents, coalition leaders, and local dignitaries were present.
