Minister for Home directs police to install CC cameras in public places

Minister for Home Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday (March 30) directed the Police department to install more CC cameras in public places, including the city outskirts, since the video footage would enable the department to get accurate evidence in cases related to crime, road accidents and others.

She inspected rural police station and sub-jail and later interacted with police officials over the pending cases, facilities in the sub-jail as well as police station. She asked the police to maintain records properly and use technology at optimum level in handling difficult cases.

Ms. Anitha who is in-charge minister of Vizianagaram later participated in district development review meeting held in Collector’s office. Minister for MSME Kondapalli Srinivas, Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi, Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy, Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan and others were present.
