The annual conference of the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals (SICPCON 2026) began here on Saturday.

It brought together cardiovascular professionals, cath lab experts, cardiac technologists and healthcare specialists from across the country. They will discuss the latest advances in invasive cardiology and catheter-based cardiac procedures.

SICP president Johnson P.J. inaugurated the conference.

“Innovations in interventional cardiology, imaging technologies, precision-guided procedures and minimally invasive technologies are transforming modern cardiac care. Continuous scientific training and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential to ensure safer procedures and better outcomes for cardiac patients,” Johnson P.J. said.

SICPCON Organising Secretary Jayapalan M.P said that the conference has been designed as a scientifically intensive academic platform for cardiovascular healthcare professionals, focusing on real-world advancements in interventional cardiology, best cath lab practices and emerging cardiovascular technologies.

He said the conference would place special emphasis on practical learning, multidisciplinary coordination and patient safety in invasive cardiac procedures.

The two-day scientific programme features expert-led sessions on complex coronary interventions, imaging-guided angioplasty, structural heart disease interventions, radiation safety, emergency cardiac care and evolving device technologies that are transforming cardiovascular treatment practices.
