The mortal remains of Madvi Hidma, central committee member and South Bastar Battalion commander of CPI (Maoist) and his wife Madakam Raje, Chhattisgarh State zonal committee member, have been handed over to their family late night of Wednesday (November 19, 2025). On November 18, the security forces eliminated six Maoists, including Hidma, Raje and four others in an exchange of fire in Papikonda National Park as part of the Operation Sambhav in Alluri Sitarama Raju district.

Alluri Sitarama Raju District Superintendent of Police Amit Bardar told The Hindu, “The family members of Hidma and Raje have claimed their mortal remains. The post-mortem has been conducted in Rampachodavaram Area Hospital.”
Accompanied by the Chhattisgarh police, Hidma’s brother and Raje’s sister have claimed and collected the mortal remains of the Maoist couple whose last rites will be performed in their native village of Puvarthi village in Sukma district in Chhattisgarh.

By November 19, the family members of four Maoists — Deve, Lakmal, Malla and Kamlu @ Kamlesh — Maoist cadre — the gunmen of Hidma, are yet to claim their mortal remains and post-mortem is yet to be completed. Mr. Amit Bardar told The Hindu that the mortal remains of the four Maoists would be handed over to their families as and when they claim.
