In what he described as an “unprecedented milestone in Telangana’s history,” Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy announced that the State Government has sanctioned ₹60,799 crore for the construction and expansion of roads across Telangana.

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for approving and allocating funds for this massive infrastructure drive, the Minister said the initiative would transform Telangana into a major hub for multinational companies. “These projects will attract lakhs of crores in investments and create employment for lakhs of rural youth,” he said.

Among key projects is the ₹10,400-crore expansion of Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway into high lanes, aimed at improving connectivity between the Capital and the coastal region. Another ₹36,000 crore has been allocated for the construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), a project expected to reshape the State’s transport network.

Other projects include ₹11,399 crore for the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects, with tenders to be called in over the next few days. This will incorporate new road networks to be laid in rural areas without road access, and conversion of single-lane roads into double-lane roads.

Mr. Reddy said ₹8,000 crore has been allocated for a 52-km elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam to enhance pilgrim and tourist connectivity. The ₹20,000 crore Greenfield Highway from Future City (Hyderabad) to Bandar Port via Amaravati, the Minister said, would “change the very face of the State”

Proposals were being finalised to create world-class infrastructure that would draw global investors to Telangana, he said. “With the construction of these new road networks, industries will expand to all corners of the State, bringing massive investment and employment,” he added.
