Marathon held in Ranipet – The Hindu

The Thirumalai Mission Trust and Vedavalli Vidyalaya School jointly organised a walkathon and marathon in Ranipet on Sunday.

According to a press release, the walkathon and marathon were flagged off from the school campus by Deepa Ramasamy, Head, Department of Psychiatry, Christian medical College (CMC) Hospital in Ranipet. The objective was to create awareness on eradicating substances harmful to health. More than 1,300 participants took part, covering a distance of around six kilometres. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ranipet, Gunasekaran presented medals and prizes to the winners.

Bhooma Parthasarathy, director, Thirumalai Mission Trust, Vidya Sampath, school correspondent, and Banu, school senior principal, were present, the release said.
