A 35-year-old man ended his life allegedly after poisoning his two children at Chilakalapadu village in Aalamuru mandal, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Konaseema district. The bodies of three were found on Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Pavuluri Kamaraju (35), his two children Abhiram (10) and Goutham (7).

Kothapeta Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Muralikrishna told The Hindu; “Kamaraju, had reportedly recorded a selfie video before his death. In the video he alleged harassment by three individuals as the reason for the extreme step to ending his life and that of his children. Kamaraju, sent the video to his brother, who lives in the same village.”
Mr. Muralikrishna said: “Kamaraju, a daily-wage worker, had been facing harassment from the three person who blamed him for his wife’s death by suicide in 2020. The trio had also allegedly told locals not to communicate with him.”
On the night of Tuesday, Abhiram and Goutham had dinner in the house of their paternal uncle. Later, Kamaraju served them a soft drink mixed with poison before ending his life. Post-mortem of the bodies was done at the Kothapeta government hospital.
The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
